Apricot Oat Slow Sunrise

A blended drink with apricot, oats, pear.

Apricot Oat Slow Sunrise

Apricot nectar and ripe pear make a mellow fruit combination, with oats adding a soft, breakfast-like texture. This one is less sharp than the berry blends and doesn't need much dressing up. Blend the oats thoroughly so they feel creamy rather than grainy. The apricot flavor can fade if you add too much milk, so thin the drink gradually. It will become thicker as it sits; make it shortly before breakfast for the easiest consistency.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 2 oz Apricot nectar
  • 1 tbsp Rolled oats
  • 1/2 fruit Ripe pear, cored and sliced

Make it

  1. Prepare all fruit as listed. Use cooked, cooled ingredients where specified; remove every stone, core or hard stem.
  2. Add the milk and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend for 45–60 seconds, scraping down as needed, until smooth.
  3. Add a small splash of milk if needed to make it pourable. Serve immediately.

Benefits

Pear · keep the fiber

Pear contributes a little fiber for normal digestion; oat milk brings a mellow, creamy base in this recipe.

Apricot · texture as well as taste

Blending apricot with oat milk, oats, and pear gives you a rounded, tangy stone-fruit flavor throughout the drink, with the whole blended ingredients staying in the glass.
