Apricot Cinnamon Hearth

Warm Apricot Cinnamon Cup. A simple recipe for your evening wind-down.

Apricot Cinnamon Hearth

Apricot nectar and cinnamon make a mellow warm cup with a little more body than fruit-infused water. The nectar already brings sweetness, and cinnamon adds warmth through aroma rather than extra heat. Stir the spice through carefully and let the drink cool enough to taste properly. Some cinnamon may settle. This is a softer, rounder option than a citrus-heavy cup, with apricot remaining the main flavor instead of becoming a background for lots of spice.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Hot water
  • 2 oz Apricot nectar
  • 1/8 tsp Ground cinnamon

Make it

  1. Add the tea or fruit and spices to a heatproof mug or small saucepan.
  2. Pour in the hot water. Steep tea for the time on its packet, or gently simmer fruit for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags. Strain if you prefer, add any optional sweetener, and sip while comfortably warm.

Benefits

Apricot and cinnamon · refreshing fluids

The water does a simple, useful job in this apricot and cinnamon combination: it contributes to hydration while stretching a rounded, tangy stone-fruit flavor into a full drink.

The cinnamon detail

Here cinnamon supplies a sweet-smelling spice note, with apricot turning that familiar ingredient into a different kind of warm cup.
