Apricot Almond New Page

A blended drink with apricot, almond, cardamom.

Apricot Almond New Page

Apricot nectar has a mellow stone-fruit sweetness that works well with almond butter. Cardamom makes it feel a little more special, but a small pinch matters here; too much can cover the fruit completely. Choose smooth almond butter so the texture stays even. The finished glass is creamy, fragrant, and easy to sip, with a slightly nutty finish. Nectar varies in sweetness between brands, so this recipe starts without honey or any other added sweetener.

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Unsweetened oat milk
  • 2 oz Apricot nectar
  • 1 tbsp Smooth almond butter
  • 1 tiny pinch Ground cardamom

Make it

  1. Prepare all fruit as listed. Use cooked, cooled ingredients where specified; remove every stone, core or hard stem.
  2. Add the milk and all remaining ingredients to a blender. Blend for 45–60 seconds, scraping down as needed, until smooth.
  3. Add a small splash of milk if needed to make it pourable. Serve immediately.

Benefits

Almond butter · vitamin E in the mix

The 1 tbsp of smooth almond butter adds some vitamin E for protecting the body’s cells from oxidative damage, with oat milk, apricot, and cardamom rounding out the flavor.

A blend of apricot, oat milk, and almond butter

Using apricot gives the oat milk, almond butter, and cardamom a rounded, tangy stone-fruit flavor in a thicker drink for a moment when juice alone would feel a little thin.
